10th Annual JettNet.ORG Family Tournament

Last Updated: Sunday, February 27, 2011

For the 10th year in a row JettNet.ORG is holding an on-line Men's Basketball Tournament "Pool." The JettNet.ORG Tournament employs first class, state of the art technology. Everything is done on-line from the comfort of your own home, office, or dorm room.  For those of you new to the JettNet.ORG Tournament, the bracket is open to Jett and Sicking Family friends and relatives of all ages. And those who have played the past nine years can testify that you don’t need to know anything about college basketball to win this pool!!

Tell your friends, family, and co-workers about the JettNet.ORG Tournament. Feel free to invite others. All Jett and Sicking Family friends and relatives and their friends and relatives are invited to play. Even a few family pets participate!

The objective of the JettNet.ORG Tournament is simply to have fun. And best of all, there is no fee to join in on the fun, so you have nothing to lose. Of course, that also means there is no cash prize -- but the winner does get BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR!!!! And those of you who know the previous JettNet.ORG Champions are very aware that they "cashed in" on the Grand Prize many, many, many times.

Important Dates to Remember

Bracket Opens: Selection Sunday, March 13, 2011. The bracket will be available after the teams have been selected.

NCAA 68 Game Format - IMPORTANT - NEW THIS YEAR

This year the NCAA has expanded the tournament field from 65 teams with one Play-in Game to 68 teams with four Play-in Games. In each case, 64 teams end up competing in the MEANINGFUL bracket that is used by the JettNet.ORG Tournament.

The NCAA increased the number of Play-in Games from one to four. The region and the bracket of each Play-in Game, now called The First Four Matchups, will be announced during the March 13th Selection Sunday show.

As in the past, points will not be awarded for picking the winners of First Four Matchup play-in games. Let's be honest - does anyone really care about the play-in games?

Brackets will be accepted after the NCAA announces the seeds on Selection Sunday, March 13th. If you are concerned the outcome of the First Four Matchups may impact your bracket, simply wait until after the Play-in Games have been completed on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 to submit your bracket.

JettNet.ORG will treat First Four Matchups similar to how the single play-in game was managed the past few years. When the brackets are posted on Selection Sunday we will show both play-in teams in the First Four Matchups slots on the bracket (example: XU/PU).

The JettNet.ORG bracket will be updated on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 after First Four Matchups winners have been determined.  JettNet.ORG Tournament participants will not be rewarded or penalized for the outcomes of First Four Matchup games. The winning teams of First Four Matchups will be shown in the 64-Team bracket after First Four Matchup games have been played.
